The hit singer is returning to her Disney roots - this time as executive
producer of the show where she got her big break, "Wizards of Waverly
Place." The actress will also star in the show, which reunites the cast
for a one-hour special after the show ended in January. Said Gomez, "It
was my idea to kind of start this, because I wanted to do it really
badly."
The host decided to play a prank on the 20-year-old actress, star of the
recent animated comedy Hotel Transylvania. As Ellen was chatting Selena
Gomez up about her boyfriend Justin Bieber, a man dressed as
Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre sneaked up on the so-called
horror movie aficionado, the Daily Mail reported.
The Selena Gomez Leatherface scare was masked well by Ellen, who tried
to coax some information about Bieber from the star. After getting a
short answer — “He’s good” — Ellen asked again about how he’s really
doing.
“He is doing really, really, well,” Selena Gomez said. “We go to
Disneyland a lot, he likes it, but we go to Knott’s Scary Farm [seasonal
event at Knott's Berry Farm, California] because that’s my favorite.
“I’m the kind of person that likes to get scared – but I’m covering my eyes and ears the entire time.”
Little did Selena Gomez know that she had a Leatherface scare coming her way in just moments. Someone in the costume burst out, brandishing a chainsaw at the obviously startled star.
Aside from her trip to Ellen, Selena Gomez has been in the news for her show of support for a bullied Michigan high school student Whitney Kropp. The girl had been selected to the homecoming court at her high school, but later learned it was a cruel joke by classmates who wanted to make fun of her.
