Singer Faith Evans is caught for drink driving

Faith Evans is a Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter who has also found fame as an actress. Besides her own achievements, she is known as the widow of The Notorious B I G.
Faith Renée Evans was born on June 10, 1973, in Lakeland, Florida. Her father, a musician, walked out when she was just a baby, and her teenage mother, Helene, took her to Newark, New Jersey, where her grandparents and aunt, Johnnie Mae, helped to raise her. Always passionate about performing, she began singing in the local church choir when she was just two years old, going on to perform in several school musicals. After graduating from high school as an honor student, she took up a scholarship at Fordham University studying marketing, but dropped out after just one year to pursue a career in music.

Police said the 37-year-old showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol when she was pulled over at a checkpoint.
The singer was held for four hours and released on bail pending formal charges.
Evans, the widow of rapper Notorious B.I.G, won a Grammy in 1998 for the song I'll Be Missing You.

She spent 13 weeks in drug rehab after being arrested in Atlanta in 2004 and charged with cocaine and cannabis possession.
